At Living Well Church we run a ‘Practical Parenting’ course. It provides an opportunity for the local community to explore parenting from a Christian perspective. This is achieved through a combination of teaching sessions, discussions and activities. The course runs either over three evenings or over a weekend and for a small fee to attend the course, participants benefit from a book (‘Family Works’), light snacks and a meal depending on the timing of the course.
The course aims to provide a friendly safe place for parents, grandparents and anyone interested in parenting to get together and tackle some of those harder parenting issues as well as to learn more about parenting God’s way.
With a heart to see family relationships restored and parents being supported, Neil Collins Pastor of Living Well Church comments, “Parenting is a sensitive subject, but as a fellowship, we have a passion to see fathers and mothers become more confident and competent in their parenting and to understand more about the role of family.” He continues, “Through the Bible we believe God has provided much wisdom about parenting that is relevant for modern families, Christian and non-Christian alike and by running ‘Practical Parenting’, we hope to share some of what the Bible says as well as provide a forum for parents to get together and share their experiences and issues.”
